Pippin

I was an assistant costume designer for Pippin. An ongoing struggle through this production was safety requirements and the need for several harnesses and how that would interact with the costumes. I had the opportunity to build Pippin's main tunic, which started with dyeing the fabric. It was a rayon jersey that did not respond well to the iron, which is part of the reason for the machine embroidery, it helps the neckline and collar hold their shape.
